Sometimes you just want to grab a healthy raw bar and run…
I tend to eat nut bars as a bit of a treat, as I like things a bit more juicy, but sometimes it can be just the ticket to satisfy a craving! You can enjoy them after working out at the gym, on the way to work, or just something healthy and nutritious to pack into your child’s lunchbox for a mid day snack.
But many nut bars out there are jam packed with chocolate and artificial sweeteners, and we don’t want to feed our kids that, so what are your choices?
Well if you’re a chocolate lover like me, but want to try something new, I know you are going to love this Carob Caramel Bar, from my book Raw Food Carob Desserts. It is chocolate-free, while still tasting like chocolate. And, you can pick your own sweetener, like honey or stevia which are my favorites.
It’s easy to make, and the kids love helping too!
Here are the instructions on how to make my Carob Caramel Bar:

I hope you enjoy making (and eating) this healthy raw treat.
Enjoy, I know I will. 🙂
