Three Immune Boosting Smoothie Recipes

We all know that eating more fresh fruits and vegetables will help us to look and feel our best. And yet, it can be easy to get caught up in your busy day, or be influenced by others eating poorly around you, and find that you are ending your day with too few fruits and vegetables yet again.

Repeat this cycle for long enough and your entire body will suffer the consequences. Weight gain, sluggishness, liver congestion, bad skin, grumpiness, lack of motivation, frequent sickness and a weakened immune system are all common outcomes of neglecting to eat the foods that give us the greatest vitality: fruits and vegetables.

But if you’re very busy with work and family responsibilities, sitting down to chew through a big fruit bowl or salad just isn’t always possible. This is where smoothies come in. They are a perfect solution for getting in a huge nutrient hit, without the time needed for proper chewing, cooking and clean up. Within five minutes, you can have an incredibly delicious and nutrient dense smoothie meal made and ready to take with you on your day. Smoothies are also an incredible carrier for our tonic herbs and green juice extracts.

Today we have three wonderful smoothie recipes to share with you that will help you get your essential fruits and vegetables into your day, along with immune and energy boosting plant extracts. You will be satiated, and feel more energized and healthy with every sip.

Papaya Mango Smoothie

This deliciously smooth and creamy smoothie combines two of the most perfect tropical fruits around: papaya and mango. With a dash of Gynostemma Extract added, this smoothie is perfect fuel to rev up your metabolism, digestion and help with weight loss.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups papaya flesh
  • 2 mangos, flesh only
  • Seeds from 1/2 vanilla bean (or 1 tsp vanilla extract)
  • 1/2 cup water (you can leave the water out if you like it very thick)
  • 1/2 tsp Adapt Gynostemma Extract

Directions:

Blend all ingredients until smooth. Add ice and blend again if desired.

Fig & Apple Green Smoothie

The combination of fig, banana, apple and spinach in this smoothie is truly a treat. Don’t let the spinach put you off, you will barely taste it. The fruits will be all the flavor you taste and leave you feeling energized, happy and stronger. Add a teaspoon of Barleygrass Juice Extract for extra immune boosting benefits.

Ingredients:

  • 4 fresh or frozen figs
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 apples, chopped (seeds removed)
  • 1-2 cups spinach (your choice!)
  • 1 tsp Alkalize Barleygrass Juice Extract
  • 3 cups water

Directions:

Blend all ingredients until smooth. Add ice and blend again if desired.

Cherimoya Date Smoothie

This smoothie is a decadent treat, but you could happily enjoy it every day with only positive benefits! Both cherimoya and dates are wonderfully nutritious and energizing foods, and they will help you to stay happy and feeling peaceful.

Ingredients:

  • 3 fresh or frozen cherimoyas, seeds and skin removed
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 fresh banana
  • 3 medjool dates, pits removed
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp Balance Astragalus Extract

Directions:

Blend all ingredients until smooth. Add ice and blend again if desired.
